Full colour A5 booklets on 150gsm matt or gloss paper, saddle stapled. Free delivery Australia-wide.

A5 is half of A4. It fits in a handbag, a glovebox or a showbag. Good for event programs, price lists, menus, product guides, client handbooks and record books.

What you can choose

  • Paper: 150gsm matt, smooth with low glare and easy to read, or 150gsm gloss, with brighter colour for photos.
  • Cover: the same 150gsm paper as the pages, or a thicker 250gsm cover in the same finish.
  • Pages: 8 to 72, including the cover. Pages must be a multiple of 4.
  • Quantity: 20 to 10,000.
  • Portrait or landscape: same price. Set your file up the way you want it to open.

How to order

  1. Pick your paper, cover, pages and quantity. Prices are shown live, ex GST, delivery included.
  2. Upload your print-ready PDF. Set it up as single pages, not spreads.
  3. We check your file and send you a proof. You get 2 free proofs. We print once you approve it.

Artwork Guidelines

Artwork Guidelines for A5 Booklets

Set up single pages, not spreads. Each page of the booklet is its own page in the PDF, in reading order, starting with the front cover.

  • Page size 148 x 210mm (portrait) or 210 x 148mm (landscape).
  • Supply a print-ready PDF at 300dpi in CMYK. We convert anything in RGB, which can shift colour.
  • Add 3mm bleed on all sides and keep text and logos at least 5mm inside the trim.
  • The page count must match the pages you ordered and be a multiple of 4, including the cover.
  • Convert all fonts to outlines or embed them.

Not sure your file is right? Send it through anyway. We check every file and come back to you if something needs fixing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size is an A5 booklet?

148 x 210mm, half the size of A4. You can have it portrait or landscape at the same price.

Matt or gloss, which should I choose?

Matt has low glare, so text is easy to read. Gloss makes photos and colour brighter. Both are 150gsm.

Do I need a separate cover?

No. A self cover uses the same 150gsm paper as the pages. Choose the 250gsm cover if you want a thicker, sturdier booklet.

How many pages can I have?

8 to 72 pages, including the cover. The count must be a multiple of 4, because each sheet folds into 4 pages.

What is the minimum order?

20 booklets. The price per booklet drops as the quantity goes up.

Can I get perfect binding or wire binding?

Not on this page. These booklets are saddle stapled. Email info@spaceprint.com.au or use the Custom Quote tab and we will price it.

How long does it take?

Short runs usually dispatch 4-5 business days after you approve the proof and pay. Large runs are printed offset and take about a week. Delivery times depend on the courier.

Believe me, I've spent a LOT of money on different printers (and been horribly disappointed), but SpacePrint absolutely NAILED IT. Marie's advice, patience and prompt communication are five star. No question was considered too trivial. I ordered the 450gsm premium velvet with spot varnish. The spot varnish was applied just over the black areas of the card front.
