STAX business cards are unlike anything else. Two sheets of 250gsm uncoated board are glued either side of a coloured sheet of stock, creating a massive 700gsm card with a striking coloured edge. Hand someone a STAX card and they notice the difference instantly – the weight, the texture, the flash of colour on the edge.

Creating your own artwork or your designer asking for how to supply the files?

Details below on what we require to get you the best results!

Set up your file at 90 x 55mm plus 3mm bleed on all sides (96 x 61mm total)
Ensure the file is set up in CMYK colour mode
Save at 300dpi resolution
Include 3mm bleed – For more information on artwork bleed click here.
For best results do not place any text or logos within 5mm of the edge of the artwork
Convert all fonts to outlines
Supply separate artwork for front and back

Important: uncoated stock

STAX cards are printed on uncoated board. Colours will appear slightly softer and more muted compared to laminated or coated cards. This is a natural characteristic of uncoated stock and is part of the premium look and feel. We recommend bold, high-contrast designs for the best result.

What are STAX Business Cards?

STAX cards are constructed from three layers – two sheets of 250gsm uncoated board glued either side of a coloured stock. This creates a 700gsm card with a distinctive coloured edge visible from the side.

What do the 9 colour names mean?

Each seam colour has a character name: Scarlett (Red), Azure (Blue), Woody (Natural/Recycled), Onyx (Black), Rusty (Orange), Sunny (Yellow), Taffy (Pink), Ivy (Green), and Violet (Purple). The name refers to the coloured stock sandwiched between the two printed boards.

Is the pricing the same for all 9 colours?

Yes – all 9 seam colours are the same price. The production process is identical regardless of which colour you choose.

How much do STAX Business Cards cost?

Prices start at $128+GST for 50 cards. We offer quantities of 50, 100, and 200.

Will my colours look different on uncoated stock?

Colours on uncoated stock appear slightly softer and more muted compared to laminated cards. This is because uncoated paper absorbs more ink. It is not a defect – it gives STAX cards their premium feel. We recommend bold, high-contrast designs.

What is the production and dispatch schedule?

STAX cards are dispatched every Friday. Your artwork must be uploaded, approved, and paid for by 5pm AEST Monday for same-week dispatch.

Can I order rounded corners?

No – STAX cards are only available with standard square corners. The layered construction does not support die-cutting for rounded corners.

What sizes are available for STAX Business Cards?

STAX cards are available in the standard Australian business card size: 90 x 55mm.

Do you offer a proof before printing?

Yes. Every order includes 2 free digital proofs. Additional proofs are $25+GST each. We will never print without your written approval.

Is free delivery available for STAX Business Cards?

Yes, free standard delivery is available Australia-wide.

I'm a freelance graphic designer, and am often approached by clients for other printing options, particularly at the moment, as we see price increases everywhere!
One of my long-term clients suggested Space Print for her new business cards, as she liked the idea of the Scodix addition. We went ahead with the order; pricing was fairly reasonable for the quantity, the artwork upload process was easy, and the team member that reached out to me regarding pre-approval of the job was very informative about the printing process, etc.
I was updated when the job was complete and the delivery status of the item, and both client and myself were extremely impressed with only a 1-2 day wait on delivery. The item actually turned up as my client was getting ready to head out the door for a meeting, which she was hoping to have the new cards ready by, so that was spectacular timing! The quality of the cards, too, was exceptional.

I highly recommend this business for anyone looking for high quality printing, and quick turn around. I will also be using Space Print for my own printing needs going forward.
