Die Cut Business Cards

A die cut card is cut to a shape instead of the usual rectangle. A cutting die is made for your shape and pressed through premium paper, so the card can be an arch, a pill, a circle or the outline of your logo. It is the card people remember, because it does not look like the others.

Die cut or laser cut

Die cutting suits clean shapes and smooth outlines. Laser cutting handles finer, more detailed cut-outs, and can leave faint burn marks on the cut edges. Laser cutting is for business card size only.

Combine it with

A die cut works with letterpress, hot foil, raised foil, blind emboss or deboss, flat or full colour print, and painted edges. Edge foil cannot be combined with a die cut or laser cut, and painted edges cannot be combined with laser cut. Shaped cards are also possible in plastic and clear – ask in your quote.

Shapes and cut options

• Any shape: a cutting die is made for your card, so you are not limited to a template. Popular shapes: arch, pill, circle, oval, leaf, notched or ticket ends, or the outline of your logo
• Rounded corners: cut with the die
• Square and larger sizes: standard cards are up to 90 x 55mm; square and larger shapes up to 105 x 100mm are quoted
• Laser cut: for fine detail and cut-out patterns inside the card, business card size only
• Other cuts: a round punched hole, a score and fold, or a tear-off perforation
• Paper: any of our specialty or coloured papers, from 200 to 800gsm

Individually quoted

Shape, paper, print, finish and quantity all change the price, so every job is quoted individually. Cards are up to 90 x 55mm as standard; larger shapes up to 105 x 100mm can be quoted.

Production is 10-13 business days from artwork approval. Artwork: vector PDF with the shape outline included. We send a PDF proof (two free amendment rounds) before production.
