Custom Shape Silver Foil Labels, Laser Cut to Any Outline
Custom shape silver foil labels are a premium metallic look that lifts any brand off the shelf. Unlike standard die-cut labels that are limited to fixed circles, squares and rectangles, these are laser cut with no die or tooling, so we can follow your own custom outline and print sizes all the way up to 300 x 300mm.
Printed CMYK over an opaque white base on a metallic silver film, so your colours stay true while unprinted areas shine through as a bright brushed-silver finish.

Artwork Guidelines
Artwork Guidelines for Custom Shape Labels
- Any shape you like: laser cutting needs no die or tooling, so we can cut to almost any outline. Supply your artwork on an artboard at the ordered size (the bounding box, e.g. 100 x 100mm) plus bleed.
- Cut line: include your cut outline as a separate spot colour path named “CutContour”, or tell us in your order notes and we will draw it to your shape at proof.
- Bleed: add 2mm bleed beyond the cut line so the print runs right to the edge.
- Safe area: keep text and logos at least 3mm inside the cut line.
- Files: PDF, AI or EPS with fonts outlined, CMYK, 300dpi. Upload with your order and we check it at the proof stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really cut any shape?
Yes. Laser cutting is die-free, so we can follow almost any outline, from simple rounded rectangles to detailed custom silhouettes. Supply your cut path or describe the shape and we will set it up at the proof stage.
How is this different from your standard circle, square and rectangle labels?
Our standard roll labels are kiss-cut to fixed circle, square and rectangle sizes using a die. Custom shape labels are laser-cut to your own outline with no die required, and go all the way up to 300 x 300mm for large decals.
What size should my artwork be?
Set your artwork up at the bounding-box size you order (for example 100 x 100mm), plus 2mm bleed. Your shape sits inside that box. The label is supplied on a roll.
Are the labels supplied on a roll or a sheet?
On a roll of 500 labels on 76mm diameter cores, ready for hand or machine application.
What file format do you need?
PDF, AI or EPS with fonts outlined, set up in CMYK at 300dpi with 2mm bleed. Include your cut outline as a named spot path or tell us in the order notes.
Do you offer proofs?
Yes, 2 free proofs are included with every order. Additional proofs are $25 plus GST each.
Are these suitable for outdoor use?
They are rated for indoor use and are not UV stable for long-term outdoor exposure. For short outdoor promotions the waterproof synthetic film is the most durable option.
