Letterpress is the original craft of printing: your design is pressed physically into thick cotton paper, leaving a crisp inked impression you can run a finger over. No coating, no gloss, just ink, pressure and beautiful stock. It is the card people hold onto.
Made properly, which takes time
Every letterpress order is set up and pressed as its own job. Production takes 10-13 business days from artwork approval, plus express delivery. These are not cards for tomorrow – they are cards for the next five years of first impressions. If your timeline is tight, our Premium and Scodix ranges dispatch much faster.
Stock and colour
Printed on Wild Cotton White 450gsm, a heavyweight cotton stock with a soft, natural texture. One ink colour pressed on the front with a blank back is the classic spec. We can match a specific Pantone Uncoated colour – note the final appearance varies slightly with the paper texture. Want a different paper? Soft whites, natural beiges, linen creams, heavier weights up to 600gsm and coloured papers are all available. Dark papers only take white, silver or gold ink, and there is no white letterpress ink. Combine it with foil and more
Letterpress can be combined with foil on the same side or on the back, in more than 30 foil colours. You can also add a blind deboss, flat print, a letterpress back, edge foil, or a die cut shape including rounded corners. Edge foil cannot be combined with a die cut. Two or three sheets can be pressed together (duplex or triplex) for an extra thick card. Each combination is quoted individually.
Artwork for letterpress
Letterpress needs vector artwork: an outlined-font vector PDF with 3mm bleed. Fine lines and small type press beautifully, but lines under 0.1mm (0.3pt) and large solid ink areas can be unpredictable – we check every file and send a PDF proof (with two free amendment rounds) before anything is pressed.

How long do letterpress business cards take?
Production is 10-13 business days from artwork approval, then express delivery (typically 1-3 business days depending on destination). Letterpress is a hand-fed craft process – we never rush it, because the impression is the whole point.
Can you match my brand colour?
Yes. We can match a specified Pantone Uncoated colour for the letterpress ink. The final appearance may vary slightly depending on the paper colour and texture – your PDF proof comes first.
Can I print both sides?
The classic letterpress look is one ink colour pressed on the front with a blank back. Two-sided pressing, foil, flat print or a blind deboss on the back, and additional ink colours are available – request a quote and we will price your exact combination.
Can I add foil to letterpress?
Yes. Foil can sit on the same side as the letterpress or on the back, in more than 30 foil colours. Gold edge foil can be added too. Every combination is quoted individually.
What stock are they printed on?
Wild Cotton White 450gsm, a thick cotton stock made for letterpress. Other premium papers – soft whites, natural beiges, linen creams and coloured stocks, in weights up to 600gsm – are available on request. Tell us what you are after and we will quote it.
What artwork do I need to supply?
A vector PDF with all fonts outlined and 3mm bleed. Not sure your file is ready? Ask us to check it when you request your quote and our design team will review it. You approve a PDF proof (two free amendment rounds) before production.
Delivery Details
Production for this range is 10-13 business days from artwork approval – each order is pressed and finished as its own job, and we never start production before your proof is approved and paid.
Delivery is free Australia wide by express service (Australia Post Express), typically 1-3 business days after dispatch depending on your location. You will receive a dispatch email with tracking. As with all our products, arrival dates are estimates – once an order ships, timing sits with the courier and cannot be guaranteed.
We deliver to physical street addresses only, not PO Boxes.
