Painted edge business cards hide their best feature until the card turns side-on: a band of solid colour running around the entire edge of thick cotton stock. Front and back are printed in full colour; the edge does the talking.

Each order is trimmed and edge-painted as its own job. Production takes 10-13 business days from artwork approval, plus express delivery. Every quote includes full colour flat print on both sides and one edge colour.

Stock and edge colours

Printed on Wild Cotton White 450gsm – thick enough that the painted edge reads as a confident stripe of colour. Tell us your edge colour when you order; we confirm it on your proof. After a coloured or heavier stock, or a specific edge match? Request a quote or email [email protected].

Artwork

Supply an outlined-font vector PDF with 3mm bleed for the front and back. The edge colour is specified separately – just tell us the colour (a Pantone reference is ideal) and we will show it on your PDF proof, with two free amendment rounds.

Just about any – tell us the colour you want (a Pantone reference is ideal) and we confirm it on your PDF proof before production.

How long do painted edge business cards take?

Production is 10-13 business days from artwork approval, then express delivery (typically 1-3 business days depending on destination). Edge painting is done by hand on each stack.

Is printing included, or just the painted edge?

Full colour flat print on both sides is included in every quote, plus one painted edge colour. Foil, letterpress or emboss combined with a painted edge is quoted individually.

Why does the stock matter for painted edges?

The thicker the card, the wider the painted stripe. Wild Cotton White 450gsm gives a substantial edge; even thicker duplexed stocks are available on request for a bolder band of colour.

What artwork do I need to supply?

A vector PDF with fonts outlined and 3mm bleed, both sides. Ask us to check your file when you request your quote – you approve a PDF proof showing the edge colour before production.

Delivery Details

Production for this range is 10-13 business days from artwork approval – each order is pressed and finished as its own job, and we never start production before your proof is approved and paid.

Delivery is free Australia wide by express service (Australia Post Express), typically 1-3 business days after dispatch depending on your location. You will receive a dispatch email with tracking. As with all our products, arrival dates are estimates – once an order ships, timing sits with the courier and cannot be guaranteed.
